May 30th - Genius Hour Blog #10

the mood to work and work I did. It was especially satisfying to see the difference between what I had at the beginning of the class and what was on the screen at the end. It was frustrating when I threw the program into a couple of infinite loops and had to redo some of the work because I forgot to save. I learned that you can't put an exit code inside a void function, and also how to do some math and reversing of integers and strings even though I won't be able to use or show them off in my program. A challenge I had was not making basic errors that gave me headaches trying to figure out what I did wrong when all I did was forget something simple like a semi-colon. Part of the vending machine program is still not working, and I am very confident I can get that up and working during our next genius hour block and can guarantee that it will be done before the presentation day. The goal for next class is to finish the vending machine program and to comment the whole thing. I'm still semi-frustrated by the compiler not having working strings, but there is really nothing I can do about it so there is no point in being frustrated right?
